This state-of-the-art waterpark was an addition to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s overall entertainment experience. Inspired by the lore of shipwrecked sailors, the heart of Zoombezi Bay is an island core of themed buildings fashioned from natural materials and nautical debris, surrounded by an action river and an exciting collection of the latest water-oriented rides and attractions.

Opening to rave reviews, Zoombezi Bay reached record attendance and spending levels in its first season, which helped make it one of the top ten waterparks in the country.
