Our hands-on, team-based design style brings the design expertise, visionary skills and extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry to each of our projects. We push the limits of creativity in leisure and entertainment projects worldwide. Bruce is the founder and President of BDR Design Group. Under his guidance, we earned a reputation for unique creative design, paired with a thorough understanding of park operations and business challenges.
Bruce continues to push himself and the team to create more innovative and successful projects by continually asking, “How simply can we achieve amazing?”

With over 40 years of experience in entertainment design, from concept development to capital expansion, Bruce has built an incredible team that have proven to be masters at designing location-based entertainment by providing creative yet practical design solutions that translate into strong financial results for the owners.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati and a Master in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. He began his career in the leisure and entertainment business at Kings Productions, and by the age of 30 was promoted to Director of Design. It was at Kings Productions that Bruce realized that the entertainment aspect of the industry added an exciting theatrical dimension to architectural design not typically present. In 1983, in order to provide his clients personal attention, Bruce launched his own firm. Today, more than 40 years later, Bruce continues to lead his team in transforming vision into exciting reality.

Stefanie is an unstoppable force while bringing the best in imagination, production coordination, and CAD mastery.
Stefanie received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Since joining BDR Design Group in 2003, her role progressed far beyond interior design. Stefanie has been responsible for design coordination on a multitude of projects, from brand-new theme parks to smaller renovations. With her extensive expertise in master planning, programming, and 3D modeling/visualization, she has brought many concepts to life.

Stefanie’s understanding of guest experience, quick adaptability, concept refinery, and talent for coordinating with architectural and engineering partners keep projects moving smoothly. She is a compulsive taskmaster who keeps her vision on the big picture while managing the small details.

Tim's attention to detail along with his can-do attitude adds another layer of innovation and quality control, making him an invaluable project resource.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign. With over 25 years of experience, Tim has worked on a wide range of projects including pop-up stores, tradeshow booths, museum concepts, resorts, bars/restaurants, and multi-million dollar theme park renovations.

He strives to create spaces that are visually compelling and intuitive to experience. His knack for understanding the user and operational details helps compose a vision from conceptualized to realistic. While zoomed in on an idea, he never loses sight of the big picture (and budget).

Brooke is exceptionally creative, with a talent for concept ideation, illustration, and problem-solving.
Originally from Michigan, Brooke pursued her interests in art and design by studying at the University of Kentucky’s College of Design, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interiors: Planning / Strategy / Design. Brooke possesses a wide array of talents ranging from her artistic abilities to her strategic planning and critical thinking skills. At BDR Design Group, she has a true passion for finding the heart in every project and is committed to creating unforgettable experiences that resonate with individuals of all ages.

Growing up in a family business taught Brooke the importance of collaboration and instilled in her a strong work ethic. She is a team player both in and out of the office; when she's not working, you can often find her on a sports field.
Lydia Watt
Project Designer

Lydia's passion for theatrical storytelling, memorable experiences, and critical thinking drives her to create engaging experiences for all.
Relocated from North Carolina, Lydia holds a Master of Fine Arts with a focus in Scene Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Art Studies from North Carolina State University. Her involvement in student organizations led to her strong collaboration skills.
She thrives on the uniqueness and challenges of each project. No process is the same, but she always makes an insightful approach. Her versatile design abilities paired with her quirky can-do spirit make her a dynamic and valuable team member at BDR Design Group.

Janice plays an important role by making sure all the day-to-day gears keep turning smoothly.
Janice joined BDR Design Group at the beginning of 2023. She is originally from Indiana, where she got her Legal Secretary Associate of Science from the University of Indianapolis. With over 20 years of financial management experience, she has a keen eye for efficiency. Janice assists the company with meeting production objectives and making sound business decisions while ensuring the design team has what it needs to be creative.

She enjoys being in a creative atmosphere in and out of the office. At home, she enjoys crafting, baking, cake decorating, gardening, and spending time with her dog Phoenix.
